What you should know
The mummy makeover is simply a combined procedure where usually breast and abdomen rejuvenation procedures are combined and performed in the same time. The Abdominoplasty or the so-called tummy-tuck surgery would address the contour irregularities of the abdomen by tightening of the abdominal muscles and reducing the excess skin and fat. Dr Mounir will remove all the stretch marks you already have in the lower abdomen but he will warn you that all stretch marks above your belly bottom will be pulled down. You will have drains for 24 hours and you will be discharge after one to two days.
The Rejuvenation of your breast could be achieved with Breast augmentation only. In fact if you have always thought about having breast augmentation and even more so after you had your children because you feel you have lost more fullness then most probably breast enhancement using silicone implants is the best option for you. However, if your nipples have dropped below the breast crease then a breast uplift or/and breast enhancement using silicone implant would be needed.
Who Is It Suitable For?
You are a good candidate if:
- You are not panning to lose weight and/or you have already achieved your weight target.
- You have got excess skin in the lower part of your abdomen and you feel that your breasts have lost volume and/or have dropped.
- You feel that this is affecting your self-confidence.
- If you are not planning to have children (pregnancies)
- If you are absolutely not a smoker.
Who Is It Not Suitable For?
Dr Mounir will undoubtedly invite you to postpone any cosmetic surgery until you are done having children. If you are planning to have more children then you are not suitable. If you are smoker then you are not suitable until you have stopped completely for at least 6 weeks. You would be tested for nicotine during your pre-operative assessment with the nurse and you be tested once again on the day of the surgery. If your nicotine test is positive, your surgery will be cancelled. If you are treated for a mental condition or any other chronic condition then you would need a further investigations before proceeding with any cosmetic surgery.
